📌 Taste:

Deep, dense, and velvety. The classic profile of aged shu pu-erh from old trees: moist earth, dark wood, cocoa, nuts, and soft chocolate notes. The body is thick and oily, the flavor is concentrated and calm, without harsh bitterness. The finish is long, warm, and slightly sweet.

📌 Aroma:

Rich, woody, and earthy, with notes of damp forest, cocoa bean, dried nuts, and light spice. As it warms, a soft sweetness and rounded depth of aged wood emerges.

Gently warms, relaxes, and grounds. Provides a feeling of stability and comfort, perfect for a quiet evening tea or after a meal.

📌 Brewing method:

Gongfu (gaiwan/teapot 100–150 ml):

  1. Proportion: 6–8 g per 100 ml
  2. Water: 95–98 °C
  3. Rinse: 1-2 short rinses for 5-10 seconds
  4. Strains: Start with 8-12 seconds, increasing the time gradually
  5. Withstands 8-10 washes

📌 Tips:

It opens up well when packed tightly. An excellent choice for meditative tea drinking and an introduction to shu pu-erh from old trees.
